A Short History of Glencorse Golf Club
Glencorse is an 18-hole parkland course of approximately 5,200 yards, set in the beautiful North Esk Valley at the foot of the Pentland Hills. Originally designed by two-time Open Champion Willie Park Jnr, the course combines tree-lined fairways, well-protected greens and a distinctive layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful course management.
The description of each hole is taken from *Golf at Milton Bridge* – a short history of Glencorse Golf Club
by Club Member Bill Taylor – published in 1998.
It’s available in Dalkeith, Penicuik and Roslin Library – as well as a copy in the Club.
