As a team we're dedicated to the following objectives; make golf inclusive to all, retain interest, integrate juniors into the rest of the club whilst continuing to promote Sunday Family days.
Our commitment to golf in the local area is also demonstrated through being a patron of the Stephen Gallacher Foundation
Our Junior Section is run by the Glencorse Junior Development Team to drive the sustainability of golf as a recognised sport within the local area. We are huge advocates of golf being available to everyone from an early age.
In order to make this happen we allow junior members from the age of 5 years old to join Glencorse. The excitement of one of our juniors members receiving their entry card and member sticker is something that makes us really happy, and we are even happier when we see them bringing their parents to the clubhouse for lunch!
As the programme develops at Glencorse, we aim to target more specific levels of ability and experience. We've created 4 levels, from Grassroots up, that will help parents and Junior Members decide where it's best for them to participate in. These are named;
1. #JuniorGolfer
2. Par Level
3. Birdie Level
4. Eagle Level

Glencorse are huge advocates and supporters of all our Junior members signing up to the Stephen Gallacher Foundation. This will help gain access to additional fixtures and also meet other golfers in the local area. You can sign up to Stephen Gallacher Foundation by Clicking Here
The #JuniorGolfer programme is our entry level to golf.
These will be fun sessions. Giving children from ages 5 to 10 the opportunity to get a taster of golf.
Our PAR Level 2 programme is dedicated to children who have had some experience of golf. They've maybe participated in a previous #JuniorGolfer programme and really enjoyed it. Or joined some of our GolfSixes or Flag competitions at Glencorse, or another golf course.
The sessions will be aimed at ages 5 - 17 and will be delivered by a Level 1 PGA coach. The coaching will be a combination of technical skills in designated coaching areas and on course to help develop golfing ability.
Our BIRDIE Level 3 programme is dedicated to Juniors who can confidently play 9 holes of golf. We'd like to see this group playing regularly in the Stephen Gallacher Foundation matches and aiming to gain an official Handicap Index.
There will be lots of matches throughout the Golf Season that are dedicated to the BIRDIE level along with some specific coaching with a PGA Professional (David Stevenson) with support from our Level 1 PGA Coaches.
The coaching will be combination of technical skills and on course to help develop golfing ability.
Our EAGLE level is for Junior member who can confidently play 18 holes and either have an official Handicap, or nearly have all of their cards handed in to gain their Handicap Index. We would expect that the EAGLE group would be regularly playing in Glencorse fixtures as well as representing Glencorse at any Stephen Gallacher events or team matches.
Coaching will be provided by PGA Professional (David Stevenson). Our Level 1 PGA coaches will also support.
