Glencorse Ladies Section - 100 years and counting
Women and golf have always been associated with Glencorse, with the first recorded friendly match in 1903 against Portobello. But more than 30 years after the inception of the Club an official ladies section was formed. Following a meeting on Saturday 4th November 1922 all attendees of a meeting reached a unanimous decision.
We intend to celebrate 100 years of the ladies section from November 2022 through to the playing season in 2023, when it will mark the 100 years of the official playing season.
This page outlines the keys dates that we have organised for the centenary along with ways in which all Glencorse members can get involved.

Our Ladies section held a fun Stableford competition today - Golf Through The Ages- to celebrate their centenary.

We welcomed Jane Turner who talked about her journey from Glencorse Junior to playing as an amateur and turning professional whilst being diagnosed with epilepsy 🏌️♀️
The catering did the club proud with a flawless dinner and service 👏🏻
Our chosen charity, Brain Tumour Research, who we’ve supported throughout 2021/2022 will receive £410 from the money raised last night 👏🏻. Members can continue to donate to this total by using the bunker jar behind the bar.
